Final Day at Sea
Today was a very quiet day, though it passed quickly enough. We were at sea, on the way from Cyprus to Athens, where we will dock sometime in the middle of the night. It’s been a very windy day, which makes for rough sailing. The ship has rocked quite a bit in the sea today, and some of our group have felt that rather severely. But we are making it through. Tomorrow, half of our Portage group begins the journey home while the other half of us spend an extra day in Athens and Corinth.
I’m looking forward to seeing those two cities, but I am also ready to go home as well. It’s been a busy, eventful, wonderful and knowledge-filled trip, but there really is no place like home. Tomorrow…Athens. The next day…back in my own bed!
